☘️ The Conch Republic Goes Green: Your 2026 St. Patrick's Day Weekend Guide to the Florida Keys! 🍻
Welcome to the ultimate guide for celebrating St. Patrick's Day 2026 in the Florida Keys! While the rest of the country might be shivering through early spring, down here in the Conch Republic, we celebrate the luck of the Irish with sunshine, ocean breezes, and plenty of green beer.
This year, St. Patrick's Day falls on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, but in true Keys fashion, the party starts early. The main festivities kick off on Saturday, March 14, transforming the islands—especially Key West—into a tropical sea of green. Whether you are looking to run a 5K, enjoy traditional corned beef and cabbage, or join the legendary Duval Street bar stroll, we have all the details you need to plan an unforgettable weekend.
📍 Key West: The Heart of the Shenanigans
Key West is famous for throwing a spectacular party, and St. Patrick's Day is no exception. The island's historic streets and waterfront bars offer a unique blend of Irish tradition and tropical flair.
The undisputed centerpiece of Key West's celebration is the historic St. Patrick's Day Bar Stroll. Taking place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, this event is the biggest, oldest, and most beloved pub crawl on the island.
The stroll kicks off at 12:00 noon at the Southernmost Beach Cafe and winds its way through 10 of Key West's most iconic watering holes. For $30, participants receive a commemorative green T-shirt (which serves as your ticket) and 10 drinks along the route. The sea of green shirts taking over Duval Street is a sight to behold. The crawl traditionally culminates at the Schooner Wharf Bar, where the party continues well into the night. Tickets sell out quickly, so early registration is highly recommended.
Before you start sipping green beer, you can earn it at the 13th Annual Shamrock Shuffle. Also held on Saturday, March 14, this family-friendly event features a 5K run, a 10K run, a 5K walk, and a Kids' 1K race.
The races start and finish right in front of Irish Kevin's at 211 Duval Street (10K at 8:00 AM, 5K at 8:05 AM). After crossing the finish line, runners are treated to a lively street party complete with live music, a breakfast buffet, and a free drink for those 21 and over. Participants also receive a T-shirt, swag bag, and a finisher's medal. Best of all, the event raises funds for local Key West charities.
On Tuesday, March 17, 2026 — the actual holiday — Irish Kevin's at 211 Duval Street throws open its doors at 8:00 AM for what they call Key West's biggest St. Patrick's Day party. The kitchen runs from 9:00 AM all the way to 11:00 PM, keeping you fueled for a full day of green beer, sing-a-longs, and giveaways.
The live entertainment lineup is stacked from morning to midnight:
Time | Performer |
8:00 AM | Bradd Shadduck |
11:00 AM | Mylo O'Maolain |
3:00 PM | Irish Kevin |
7:00 PM | NY Pauly |
11:00 PM | Simonian Wolf Band |
Located in the Key West Historic Seaport, the Schooner Wharf Bar hosts a massive two-day celebration.
On Saturday, March 14, the bar serves as the grand finale for the Bar Stroll. The festivities run from noon until 11:00 PM, featuring Celtic rock, Irish diddies, and enthusiastic sing-alongs.
The party resumes on the actual holiday, Tuesday, March 17. The St. Paddy's Celtic Rock Celebration kicks off at noon with the Joy Galway Trio, followed by The Scallywagz Band from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Throughout both days, the Schooner Galley will be serving up traditional corned beef and cabbage dinners, perfectly paired with Black and Tans, green beer, schnapps, and premium Irish Whiskey.
For those seeking a more traditional cultural experience, the Key West Theater (512 Eaton St.) presents "Echoes of Erin" on Tuesday, March 17.
Doors open at 6:00 PM for this 7:00 PM concert featuring acclaimed Irish-born vocalist Suzanne Moore. She will be joined by a seven-piece international band and special guest vocalists. The performance promises a beautiful blend of traditional Irish ballads and contemporary Celtic music, highlighted by rich five-part harmonies. Presented by First State Bank, all proceeds from this 21+ event benefit the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys.
🌴 Beyond Key West: Upper & Middle Keys Events
The celebration isn't limited to the southernmost city. The rest of the Florida Keys offer fantastic events for locals and visitors alike.
Head to the world-famous Caribbean Club in Key Largo on Saturday, March 14 for the Upper Keys Irish Fest. A local tradition since 1999, this all-day festival runs from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The event features two stages of entertainment. The Front Stage will host the Wee F.I.B. (Fake Irish Band), the KLS Cheer Dance Team, and performances by the Upper Keys Irish Dancers. Over on the Bayside Stage, enjoy the Not Guilty Band and a special Parade & Bagpiper procession at noon. The festival also includes a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and plenty of community spirit.
The Islamorada Running Company hosts the St. Paddy's Island 5K/10K on Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 AM. Runners are encouraged to wear their best green attire for this scenic race along the Old Highway. The finish line brings you to the Florida Keys Brewing Company for a festive, well-deserved post-race party.
While not strictly an Irish event, this massive festival perfectly coincides with the holiday weekend. Running from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 15, the Marathon Seafood Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.
As the second-largest festival in the Florida Keys, it offers an incredible array of fresh local seafood, over 200 vendors, a boat show, live music, and activities for children. Admission is just $5, and kids 12 and under enter for free. It is the perfect daytime activity before heading out for your evening St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

💡 Pro Tips for a Perfect Weekend
1 Book Early: St. Patrick's Day weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in the Florida Keys. Accommodations, especially in downtown Key West, fill up months in advance.
2 Pace Yourself: The Keys heat combined with day drinking can sneak up on you. Drink plenty of water between those green beers and Irish whiskeys.
3 Dress the Part: Green is mandatory! Whether it's a simple shamrock pin, a full leprechaun suit, or your official Bar Stroll T-shirt, make sure you are wearing the colors.
4 Use Rideshares or Walk: Parking in Key West is notoriously difficult, especially during major events. Take advantage of the island's walkability, rent a bicycle, or use local rideshare and taxi services.
Sláinte! May your glass be ever full, and may the luck of the Irish be with you in the Florida Keys! ☘️
